Spider-man and His Amazing Friends

Sometimes Nostalgia just gets the better of us all.

Some people have "their Doctor Who", well this is "my Spider-man". I saw the 1967 Spider-man cartoon first, but this is the one that I loved as a kid as a kid.

It isn't good, so really this watch order is just to shorten the pain and hide some of the truly horrifying episodes.

I would advise people to stick with the "COHERENT BEST...", and don't blame me if you watch an episode that didn't even make my "TOO MANY...".

I should note, there was a 1981 Spider-man cartoon right before this one, and it is... a bad remake of the '60s show. I can't make a watch order of that one because they are all bad.

HERE BE SPOILERS

"TOO MANY..." also includes an episode that Disney+ won't show because it has too much Hitler (any Hitler is too much). Also included is an embarassing episode rebooting the just-introduced Video-Man as a weird geek hero. If you really want Matt Murdock to show up in a marvel show, check out "Attack of the Arachnoid". The team origin episode is truly horrible, as it tries to explaining the ridiculous setup with a bad villian and a Tony Stark that is shocking badly acted.

However, I do kinda enjoy the other "COHERENT BEST..." episodes.

"Swarm" is a generic fun early epispde.

"7 Little Superheroes" was my kids favourite episode for a few years; featuring a variety of characters.

"Video-Man" isn't actually good, but is included for coherency and is probably the most notable orginal villain in this show. Such the 80's video game esthetic.

I'm a sucker for origin stories, so I included each individual one: "The Origin of the Iceman", "A Fire-Star Is Born", and "Along Came Spidey".

"The X-Men Adventure" was probably my first experience with the X-Men. The voice actors here are WAY better than their earlier apperances.

"Mission: Save the GuardStar" is the last episode, and has the closest this show comes to having an actual plot.
